Week 15 Preview - Championship Bracket

The Super 6.  Laron & Randy have secured 1st round byes.  They relax this week comforted with the knowledge that they can not be eliminated from the playoffs this week.  The Championship Bracket, it's where we all wanted to be week 15 when the season began.  These are the games we remember.  These are the games where glory is bestowed and teams are remembered, or ridiculed, for all time.

To the match-ups...

Rick (9-5, 1344) Vs Dustin (9-5, 1730)

4 seed versus 5 seed.  Rick has won 4 straight but has broken the 100+ mark only once in the last 7 weeks.  It's probably weird to say the 4 seed is a huge underdog to the 5 seed but it's true in this case.  Dustin's team is locked, loaded, and ready to go.  He has won 4 straight as well, and has not scored LESS than 130 points in 5 straight weeks.  I dont think there is any doubt who the hottest team is of late.  Dustin is smooth tearing it up.  Now anything can happen, of course, and Rick did beat Dustin this year, 111-98 week 6, so this match-up could be very interesting. Yahoo currently has Dustin as a 30 point favorite. Winner gets Laron next week.

Jimmy (9-5, 1800) Vs Kyle (8-5-1, 1594)

3 seed versus 6 seed.  1800 points, that led the league in scoring this year.  That's 128.57 points per game.  That's a lot.  Jimmy has scored 100+ 13 out of the 14 regular season weeks and the last 12 in a row.  That's truely impressive and amazing especially considering the expanded league and revised roster.  In 4 of his 5 losses, Jimmy scored 100+.  Meaning, with a little luck, he very well could have been undefeated so far this year.  In his 5 losses, he lost by 7, 7, 16, 10, and 6.  We should all be rooting against Kyle this week (I am, screw Kyle).  He hasnt done much this year, and yet, here he is.  He has won (or tied) his last 6 games, which included knocking off Laron last week 133-112.  Yahoo currently has Jimmy favored by 28 points. Jimmy won the week 6 match-up 136-76 earlier this year, but Kyle leads the overall series 6-2. Winner gets Randy next week.
