Week 2... Match-ups

It's week 2?

Chavez (0-1) Vs Rojo (1-0)

Series is tied 7-7. Chavez won the only match-up they had last year (158-118, week 10) but before that Rojo had won 5 straight dating back to 2006. With a +100 performance last week, Rojo has extended his streak to 14 games. Both are coming off of strong week 1 scoring (141 & 128) outputs, so it wouldnt surprise me to see a week 2 slump from one or both of them. Chris Johnson will be facing the ever stingy Pittsburg Defense so Chavez may catch a break there, but that also means VY will be facing that same defense. Mendenhall vs Tennessee and Gore vs New Orleans are tough as well. Not sure who's throwing the football to Steve Smith this Sunday in Carolina, but Boldin looked really good last Monday night in his debut with Baltimore. Rojo begins his QB platoon this week, who do you start... Cutler or Favre? Can Collie go for 40 in Manning Bowl II?

Chad (1-0) Vs Laron (1-0)

First Match-up for these two. Nothing like starting the season off with a win, and both of them did just that. Chad put career win #60 in the books and Laron got his first career win under his belt. Last week was a good week for both. Looks like Chad will start his secret weapon this week, Dez Bryant (OSU Cowboy) who played really well in his first game last week. On paper it appears to be a pretty even match-up between them, especially if Michael Turner will show up for Laron. Where was Turner week 1? Not starting Alex Smith this week? I tease, but Laron won by 40 points last week... over the defending champion no less. Winner goes to 2-0

Cow (0-1) Vs Dustin (0-1)

Dustin leads the series 6-2 and is currently on a 4-0 run, meaning Cow hasnt beat Dustin since 2007. That's not the only streak the Cow needs to snap, he's also on a 5 game losing streak overall. Not to pile on, but he's also lost Ryan Grant for the season and Dustin has two pending trades that will make his team much better. Did I mention Dustin has Brady too? The good news... Cow had Brandon Jackson on the roster, Mark Clayton has found new life, and Andre Johnson will not be shut down two weeks in a row. Loser is 0-2

Kyle (0-1) Vs Pitch (0-1)

Two games ago, Pitch's team was wrapping up a week 17 championship performance. Gaffney was the MVP and Peterson had finally brought Pitch that long waited for trophy. One week ago, Pitch got hammered by 40 pts... to a new guy... who scored 96 points. So, not a good start. Last week, Kyle lost by 2 points 116-118 to Chad. So, not a good start. Actually, I'm not sure Kyle even knows he lost to Chad yet... or if he even knows he has a team... or if football has started. But for the fun of it, lets pretend he has. Kyle leads the series 6-5, but Pitch swept him last year both meetings. Aaron Rodgers vs Matt Schaub, ought to be good. Neither put up good numbers last week, so they are probably due. McFadden might be a nice play against the Rams this week and Jones-Drew looked OK to me. Loser is 0-2

Kurt (1-0) Vs Randy (1-0)

You shouldnt win if you only score 78 points, but Randy did. You shouldnt win right away if you're a new guy, but he did. Ryan Matthews disappeared on him last week, but Rivers is pretty good and carried the load. That Fitzgerald guy isnt too bad either. Did you all see where Stafford got hit and tore his shoulder? Kurt did. Nothing puts the fear in you like the thought of having to start Delhomme at QB. Now he has Anderson to keep the boat afloat till Stafford gets back. Substitute Charles in, to go along with the rest of his RBs, and he's ready to ride. Winner is 2-0

AD (0-1) Vs Bang (0-1)

I lead the series 9-6, but have lost the last 4!!! I'm Bang's bitch. I hate Drew Brees, except for 2006 when I loved Drew Brees. Bang is coming in off of a loss last week, but so am I, except, Bang is actually coming in a loser of 4 straight overall. Brees is playing SF Monday night... Maybe Singletary will suit up and smack Brees around alittle bit. That'd be cool. Loser is 0-2

Thomas (0-1) Vs Rick (1-0)

First meeting, no history, but it is the beginning of a new Texas rivalry. Thomas was active on the trade market this week. We'll have to wait and see how everything goes once the dust has settled. I can only imagine the joy Rick had at the office this week. I'd be talking trash to Chavez too. Rub it in Rick, cause when its his turn... he will.

Matt (1-0) Vs Jimmy (1-0)

Jimmy leads the series 4-1 and has won the last 4. Both went off last week scoring 136 and 140 respectfully. Jimmy's team is stacked, we all know that, but Manning cant go for 51 every week can he? Last week I said this might be Matt's breakout season... Palmer to Johnson was worth 69 points. If they keep it up and stay hot all year, It will be a breakout season. Oh, and he has Adrian Peterson too. Winner goes to 2-0
