Championship Bracket Week 15, 2016

(1) John (10-4) - Bye
(2) Adrian (10-4) - Bye $$$

(3) Jimmy (9-5) Vs (6) AD (8-6) $$$
Power Ranking 7th vs 2nd

AD leads the overall series 11-9, but Jimmy won a thriller earlier this year.  After losing 7 straight from 2006 to early 2009, Jimmy has turned the tables winning 6 of the last 9.

11 straight weeks of 100+ scoring and 8-3 record through it was capped off in pitiful fashion with a 63 point output and a 70 point drubbing by Chad.  But if you're going to have a shit week, have it the week before the playoffs start during a week where it doesn't really matter if you win or lose, right?

Jimmy finished the season on a 3-2 run.  But 3 of those weeks he scored in the 80's.  The strength of Jimmy's season happened in the non-division games.  Jimmy popped off a 6-2 record, but 3-3 against his division.  Jimmy is 8-4 all-time in Championship Bracket games and 5-4 in games that matter.

*Updated*  After a shit Thursday Night, Jimmy now favored +7 or so...
*Updated* After a big Saturday night, Jimmy now favored +10

(4) Beas (9-5) $$$ Vs (5) Dustin (9-5)
PR  6th vs 3rd

Dustin leads the series 11-5-1.  At one point Dustin had won 6 out of 7, the tie being the other, but it's 2-2 the last 4 match-ups.

So Beas began the season winning 5 straight and looking dominant.  Then the now infamous two week 70 point fiasco happened and we learned that he was beatable.  To answer the call, Beas reeled off 4 straight dominant wins against good teams to silence his critics.  At 9-2, he looked every bit the part of a #1 seed powerhouse.  Then came the last three weeks of the season, all losses.  To be fair, my team was on PEDs and Chad is now invincible for some reason, so he didn't have a chance in those.  The final week was awful, but it was awful for many of us.

So not everything in the above paragraph is the exact same, but the overall outline is pretty close.  Dustin whipped out to a 9-2 record.  100+ in all but one of those.  He and Beas were, at the time, the clear #1 & #2 seed powerhouses set to take on the world.  Instead, like Beas, Dustin lost three straight to finish the season.  Two trap games and a week 14 dump, just like the rest of us.  What appeared to be two teams destined to meet in the Championship Game now becomes a week 15 gem, where one of them gets booted way earlier than we thought.  During the Playoffs all games are Games of the Week, but this one is pretty special.  Dustin is 10-5 in Championship Bracket games and 9-5 in games that matter.

Beas favored by +30 because Dustin has apparently taken on the Bill Belichick strategy of not showing who he's going to start.  Once Dustin fills in his roster it should be pretty close to a draw if Beas doesn't have a point or two on Dustin.

*Updated*  Dustin favored +2
*Updated*  Beas added a player, now favored +3
