Smooth Moves by Hawks

  • The Toyota Hall of Fame would have its eyes on you for this week's win. But the Toyota Hall of Fame doesn't have eyes. Obviously.
  • The 32.50 points scored by Devonta Freeman ranked fourth in the league in scoring. It was also his highest output of the season.
  • Tyler Lockett laughed in the face of the experts this week, beating his scoring projection by a matchup-leading 170.2% and scoring the sixth-most points in the league with 28.56 points.
  • With 23.00 points versus a projected 13.62, the New England Patriots Defense exceeded their scoring projection by 68.9%.
  • Apparently playing within themselves was good enough. Hawks won despite having only 4 of their 8 starters exceed their projected points.

Toyota Roster Tune-up

  • Some teams are destined to beat teams like Hooligans and move on to Toyota Hall of Fame greatness. Ironically, you are included in that destiny, because you played yourself.
  • Should have started LeGarrette Blount, who underachieved, but still had more points than the starting RB with 9.10 against a projected 9.68.
  • At the DEF position, Hooligans got outscored by Hawks 23.00 - 5.00.
  • It was a season-low scoring total for Antonio Gates, who had 2.10 points. He had a projected total of 11.18 points and this week was the third straight game of underperformance versus his projection.
  • It's times like these when it's important to support your players when they're down. So move the mouse pointer away from the DROP button. Jay Ajayi scored a season-low 5.10 points, 40.4% of his projected 12.61, which is his lowest percentage of the year.

What If

  • If Hawks played Hooligans every week, they'd be 9-6 this year.
  • Hawks would have beaten only four other teams besides Hooligans this week.
  • Had they played each other last week, Hawks would have defeated Hooligans 113.34 - 59.76.
  • Hawks would be 8-6 if they played the same schedule as Hooligans.
  • If Hawks had played every team in the league each week, they would be 92-125.
  • Hooligans would have lost to six other teams besides Hawks this week.
  • Hooligans would be 6-8 if they played the same schedule as Hawks.
  • Hooligans would be 69-148 if they played every team every week.

Game Notes

  • Hooligans has lost eight times and three of them have come to teams who beat their scoring average in that matchup.
  • The top players for Hawks were elite in the matchup, as three of their starters outperformed the leading scorer for Hooligans.
  • Hawks had the week's widest margin of victory (40.60 points) for the first time this season.
  • Hooligans lost by the biggest margin of the week for the second time this season.
  • Hawks is on the longest active win streak in the league, winning three straight games.
  • Hawks beat their scoring projection for the eighth time this season by scoring 112.86 points against a projected 97.24. They have now overachieved four weeks in a row.
  • When the going gets tough, the tough are supposed to get going. However, Hooligans stalled out again and extended their losing streak to four games.
  • It was the third time this season that Hooligans has had the lowest score in the league.
