Personally, I've always wanted to do a Dynasty...

Hmmm... not that...
Or that...

Not that either...
Take Baseball. Everyone on your team is yours to keep every year. Forever. For those that dont keep an entire roster, they can fill their roster via the draft and obviously free agency. So, If I kept 12 players... I wouldnt have a pick until the 13 round. If I kept the entire roster, I wouldnt draft at all. Remember, baseball has a move limit so this could get pretty interesting. Trades would be big... and exciting. Hitting on a rookie like say... Pujols... would be HUGE!!! Pick the wrong guys... and it will take years of drafting to rebuild. You'd have to manage your team not only through one season, but through players careers... are they getting old? Should I keep them or not? If I keep too many players, I wont have a chance to draft younger ones. Every year there are players that come out of nowhere and become someone, and every year there are elite players that pass their prime.
Dynasty! Whose with me?

What is the possibility we could have keeper leagues for Baseball and Basketball. I dont know if it is to complicated to put keepers in on Yahoo site. Some may not be that involved, but for those who like to play it would be pretty cool.

You may noticed...

That http://www.okiesports.com/ adn http://www.okiesportsleague.blogspot.com/ are now one and the same. We're still trying to tie up some loose ends, but its coming along rather nicely.

Jimmy - You have to go to your email and accept my invitation via the link there. According to Blogspot you have not done so.

Done

It's pretty easy to get signed up... just had to open a google account and... well... here I am.

Unfortunately, I'm not that interesting or creative either.

Already looking forward to the draft.

^^^on that note^^^

(How about some mock drafts this year? I've been thinking that might be fun.)

Open Forum...

Hmmm... something like that. I want this to become an open forum for everyone. Where more than just me posts stuff. Come on now, I'm not that creative or interesting. So email me with your email stuff so that I can make it where you are an permitted author. I will email you the login and password. I'm not 100% sure on how all that works yet, but I'm sure we can figure it out. Eventually, I'd like to figure out how to make http://www.okiesports.com/ the actual place. Make it look more like this place. More like dailythunder. Something like that.

***Update***
It seems I put the emails into a box and then it (the website) emails the email to you. I have experimented with Cow's email (I know it and I doubt he'd mind). I'm about to go see what that looks like.

***Update***
you receive an email saying that I've invited you to post on this blog. It gives you a link to click on which takes you to a google login page. If you allready have a google account, you just sign in. I dont know what happens after that.

Thy curse has been lifted!!!

Basketball is...

the #1 cause in sport injuries in the USA. Did you know that? Come on now, dont lie. It also may very well be the best sport of the major sports. Think about it. You cant play football, Hockey, Baseball, or drive fast race cars. Sure, you can play catch or join a softball league or something but its still not quite the same. Same goes with flag football. You can in Golf, but its expensive. Basketball is played everyday, almost everywhere. It's played by men and women and by kids of all ages. So then, why is it my least favorite fantasy sport? To be fair, we only have three sports with fantasy teams so its not a complete suprise it'd be last. Football is far and away #1. Baseball, for me, is a close #2. Basketball, however, is a distant 3rd. Basically a filler between football ending and baseball beginning. Is it the way the league is set up? Is it the scoring? Is there less strategy in basketball? Is it because I'd rather pay attention to the Thunder than a fantasy league team? We dont have a professional football or baseball team here. Is it just me?
Whatever it is... anyhow...
Watch out for E Wood when playing him in basketball this year, He uses some sort of Voo-Doo Curse Magic on your players and they get hurt. (see D.Granger)
