League Policy Adjustments

I knew, and you probably knew it too, that there'd be more than one proposed adjustment to league policy.

As we have it now, the 4 seed and 5 seed are bracketed with the 1 seed and the 6 seed and 3 seed are bracketed with the 2 seed no matter who wins between the 4 and 5 or 3 and 6.  The NFL does not do it that way.  The NFL re-seeds.  The 1 seed automatically plays the lowest seed available.  So for example, if the 6 seed upsets the 3 seed, in our league the 6 seed would still play the 2 seed instead of the 1 seed.

Yahoo gives us the choice to do this as well.  We just haven't done it that way.  We keep the bracket the same.  My question is, should we change it?  Should we have it where the 1 seed gets to play the lower seed if there is a first round upset?

So far the 6 seed has only won once (Rick in 2014) but you got to figure the longer we do this the more likely a 6 seed will knock off the 3 seed.  So when that happens, do we want the 6 seed to play the 1 seed or the 2 seed?  Again, the NFL has it where the 6 would play the 1.  We currently have it where the 6 would play the 2.

Proposal #1  Free Agent Wednesdays
Proposal #2  Playoff Re-seeding
