Never Give Up

During the 2015 season, Matt was at one point 1-3 and then 1-4, yet still made the Playoffs.

He's not the only one to start slow and finish strong. He's just the latest.

A look at other come-from-behind late season Playoff charges.

League Policy Adjustments

I knew, and you probably knew it too, that there'd be more than one proposed adjustment to league policy.

As we have it now, the 4 seed and 5 seed are bracketed with the 1 seed and the 6 seed and 3 seed are bracketed with the 2 seed no matter who wins between the 4 and 5 or 3 and 6.  The NFL does not do it that way.  The NFL re-seeds.  The 1 seed automatically plays the lowest seed available.  So for example, if the 6 seed upsets the 3 seed, in our league the 6 seed would still play the 2 seed instead of the 1 seed.

Yahoo gives us the choice to do this as well.  We just haven't done it that way.  We keep the bracket the same.  My question is, should we change it?  Should we have it where the 1 seed gets to play the lower seed if there is a first round upset?

So far the 6 seed has only won once (Rick in 2014) but you got to figure the longer we do this the more likely a 6 seed will knock off the 3 seed.  So when that happens, do we want the 6 seed to play the 1 seed or the 2 seed?  Again, the NFL has it where the 6 would play the 1.  We currently have it where the 6 would play the 2.

Corrections & Updates

There were a few miscalculations, errors, and design flaws that got cleaned-up in the league and team pages.  There will probably always be something somewhere but for the most part all that's been corrected.

The Playoff Results page has been fixed and updated.
The Records page has been been fixed and updated.

There is a new league page, Modern Era, that focuses on 2010 and on.  This is when our league transitioned to 4 divisions and 16 teams.  I almost didn't do this page because I don't want to discount or diminish what happened from 1999 to 2009, but I think it is interesting because the league did change going to 4 divisions and 16 teams.

Rojo had been incorrectly credited with an extra loss.  That has been corrected.  His Career Wins is 119 instead of 118.
Cow had been incorrectly credited with an extra loss.  That has been corrected.  His Career Wins is 134 instead of 133.
Both those errors came from the 2012 season and didn't effect any other teams. Just a sloppy input error.
