Week 5 Preview

Randy Moss goes home edition.
So now everyone ask all the questions. What's that do for, Minnesota, New England, Favre, Brady, Welker, Hernandez, Tate, Harvin, Peterson, Rice and whoever else?

Player of the week voting is close, so if you havent voted... vote.

and on to the Match-ups...

AD (1-3, 416) Vs Chad (2-2, 381)

I lead this series 12-6, but from 2001-2003 I led 6-0 and from 2004-2009 its been even at 6-6. Chad is coming off a big week last week defeating Texas rival Chavez, so hopefully he'll hit a slump this week. I celebrated my first win in 2010 last week, although, if Randy starts Rivers instead of jumping on the Vick party wagon, I'd have lost. Interesting though... weeks 1-3 I scored over 100 and lost, I scored 90 last week and won. New strategy... dont score 100.

Thomas (1-3, 383) Vs Dustin (3-1, 484)

Our staring cast of the new hit TV show (Team Swap) meet up this week. They've completed 3 trades involving 6 players so far. I dont know what the record is but Dustin has allready completed 5 trades so far this year... can somebody say active? Thomas notched his first win of the season and career win #1 last week... so congratulations. The reason... Randy Moss goes 0 fer in a Monday Nights game. How often does that happen? Dustin is rolling. After losing week 1, he has reeled off 3 straight 100+ performances and 3 straight wins. He does have some injuries and bye weeks to deal with this week however.

Matt (3-1, 404) Vs Kyle (1-3, 458)

Kyle leads the series 3-0. Matt has got to be happy with last weeks win. Anytime you win when Peterson and Shiancoe are on a bye is a good thing. 3-1, allready more wins than all of last year, and half the number of wins he had in 2007... his best year. The bad news is... I think Kyle's team might just be getting warmed up. Yes he just got his first win, but he's had back to back weeks of 120+ scoring. On the other hand, McFadden is hurt alittle bit.

For those wondering, I've contacted the SEC and filed a complaint about insider trading on Matt. Just a few days before Randy Moss gets traded, Matt picks up Tate. Looks suspicious. An Investigation will ensue.

Chavez (2-2, 430) Vs Randy (2-2, 341)

I'm sure after a couple of days of beer, strippers, and sad country music... Chavez is ready to bounce back from last weeks tragic events. (Chad's still partying like 99). One bright spot for him is the return of Roethlisberger this week... well, next week because the Steelers have a bye this week. The VY experience ends after this week. Actually, VY hasnt done that bad, but getting Roethlisberger will make Chavez much better. Speaking of beer, strippers and sad country music, Randy lost last week the worst possible way. He could have won if he'd just left Rivers in, but that Vick party wagon was attractive and it bit him. I dont know about you all, but I hate losing when its a decision i made that caused it. Both teams look to bounce back strong this week.

Rick (2-2, 388) Vs Cow (0-4, 348)

Rick began the season with two impressive wins but has had two duds the last two weeks. Actually, its amazing he is 2-2, as he is the only team that has had 100+ scored against him all four weeks. Can Cow keep the streak going? Speaking of streaks, I hate to beat a dead cow to death but with last weeks loss the Cow goes to 0-4 this year and 0-8 over the last eight games. If ever someone needed a spark, its Cow. Maybe he'll get it this week as the match-up does appear favorable.

Bang (2-2, 361) Vs Laron (4-0, 437)

Bang got trounced on last week by Dustin. It was bad. Now its time to move on. Not having P. Thomas sucked and he may not be back this week either. Not that he would have made a difference. When someone scores 145 on you, you're probably not going to win. Laron has gone from fluke to real deal. He has scored 130+ in back to back weeks and is the only 4-0 team. It doesnt hurt that he leads the league in fewest points scored against (315). Doesnt matter really, you still have to win the games you're playing... and he has done just that.

Pitch (2-2, 417) Vs Jimmy (3-1, 498)

Jimmy leads overall series 5-4. However, he lost the championship game last year to Pitch (125-76). Sorry to bring it up my man. The good news... now that Jimmy has won the 2010 Baseball Championship, he can start focusing on football. There have been two Pitches the first four weeks this year. The first Pitch is a dud, scoring 53 and 74. The second Pitch is a good one, scoring 173 and 117. A friend of mine called and said she was a fan of Pitch and made a video for his team...

Kurt (2-2, 342) Vs Rojo (2-2, 402)

Rojo leads this 7-0. Yep. I was alittle suprised myself. That's twice in 07, twice in 09, and the trifecta last year. Rojo has been up and down as well this year, last week scoring 63. Course, it really hurt to have a QB score -18. Rojo may have a QB controversy brewing now that Favre has Moss to throw the ball to, not to mention Cutler's inconsistency. On the other side, Kurt would love to have a QB much less a QB controversy. Stafford should be back this week or next, so help is on its way. Magic was in the air last week for Rojo, until Kyle squashed it. Can Rojo make Kurt his victim for career win #80 and 0-8 against him?

Good luck everybody and sign up for Basketball 2010.
