Cancel your winter plans, PITCH, you're headed to the playoffs. With another win over Raging BULLS, this time by a final score of 98.68 to 89.45, PITCH clinches a spot in the postseason. Raging BULLS isn't an easy win for PITCH, who has a 10.98-point average margin of victory against them. It's much smaller than their 23.36-point average margin of victory on the season. This week, DeAngelo Williams was the key difference, garnering 23.10 points. It was still quite a drop-off from the 34.40 points Larry Fitzgerald got the last time these teams played. PITCH beat Raging BULLS 121.82 to 109.10 in Week 3 and now averages 110.25 points against them.

Smooth Moves by PITCH

  • There are rumors that the military wants to model a new all-terrain vehicle based off of DeAngelo Williams. He had the fourth-highest score among RBs in the league this week with 23.10 points.
  • With 17.00 points against a projected 11.23, the Seattle Seahawks Defense had their highest output of the season and has now overachieved in three straight games.
  • With 14.80 points, Zach Ertz had his highest output of the season and beat his projected point total by a season-high 43.8%.
  • Apparently playing within themselves was good enough. PITCH won despite having only 4 of their 8 starters exceed their projected points.
  • PITCH won even though both of their WRs scored below their projected points.

Toyota Roster Tune-up

  • Losing is a proven way not to win a game. For a more successful season, try not losing.
  • Picked up Tim Hightower, who scored 16.50 points against a projected 12.20, but left him on the bench.
  • Andy Dalton was last in the matchup in scoring with a season-low -0.05 points.
  • Gotta hit rock button before you can start to rise. It was a season-low 8.20 points for DeAndre Hopkins this week. It was also a season-low for his performance versus projections, reaching only 36.4% of a projected point total of 22.53.
  • 5 of the starters on Raging BULLS scored less than their projected points.

What If

  • If PITCH played Raging BULLS every week, they'd be 5-9 this season.
  • PITCH would have beaten five other teams besides Raging BULLS this week.
  • PITCH would be 10-2 if they played the same schedule as Raging BULLS.
  • If PITCH had played every team in the league each week, they would be 133-77.
  • Raging BULLS would have lost to 11 other teams besides PITCH this week.
  • And they say procrastination doesn't pay off! Had they played each other last week, PITCH would have lost to Raging BULLS 180.80 - 127.30.
  • Raging BULLS would be 10-2 if they played the same schedule as PITCH.
  • Raging BULLS would be 157-52-1 if they played every team every week.

Game Notes

  • We don't condone cheating, but this group of wide receivers might want to spray Stickum on their gloves. The 10.48 total points by the WRs on PITCH was their lowest WR output this season.
  • Raging BULLS could not extend their five-game win streak.
  • Not going to name names, but some people here aren't pulling their weight. Forget it, Larry Fitzgerald needs to step it up! He scored 9.10 points against a projected 20.33 in the win, and has now scored below his projection in four straight games.
  • In upset games this season, PITCH is now 2-2, including wins in their last two such matchups.
  • The Carolina Panthers Defense scored 31.00 points, the third-highest DEF score in the league this season, but it was not enough to tip the scales in favor of Raging BULLS.
  • PITCH was able to win despite putting up the smallest point total of any winning team in the league this week.
  • Raging BULLS scored 89.45 points, ranking them 13th in the league in scoring.
  • Jason Myers exceeded his projected point total by 26.9% in the loss, scoring 9.00 points against a projected 7.09.
