Sarge, down 16.85 on Monday night, gave Porky Pigmy Pyxies a glimmer of hope, then ripped it away and beat Porky Pigmy Pyxies 91.05 to 86.00. Sarge picked up 19.30 points from Le'Veon Bell and 15.60 from DeSean Jackson. These two teams are tied for 13th place with 2-3 records, but it smells like BS, as Porky Pigmy Pyxies knows they're the much better squad, leading in total points 488.40 to 412.95. While each team fell short of hitting their projections, Sarge scored 88.0% of a projected 103.44 points to get the win.

Smooth Moves by Sarge

  • A win like that is a great first step, Sarge. A baby step toward the ultimate achievement: becoming a Toyota Hall of Famer.
  • There are rumors that the military wants to model a new all-terrain vehicle based off of Le'Veon Bell. He had the fifth-highest score among RBs in the league this week with 19.30 points.
  • With 12.90 points, Zach Miller had his highest score of the season and beat his projected point total by a season-high 60.8%.
  • Apparently playing within themselves was good enough. Sarge won despite having only 4 of their 8 starters exceed their projected points.
  • The Chicago Bears Defense overachieved by 28.8%, scoring 9.00 points against a projected 6.99.

Toyota Roster Tune-up

  • Loss is a four-letter word to Toyota Hall of Famers. And win is a three-letter word. Hall of Famers are great at Fantasy Football AND counting.
  • Derrick Henry has now failed to reach his projection for three straight games. This week he scored 0.90 points versus a projected 8.41.
  • Porky Pigmy Pyxies could have used more points from the TE position, where Sarge beat them 12.90 - 2.20.
  • It's tough to win when your team leader gets embarrassed like this. At the QB position, Porky Pigmy Pyxies got outscored 12.25 - 5.60 by Sarge.
  • Keenan Allen had two season-lows this week. He scored a season-low 10.70 points and recorded only 60.7% of his 17.62-point projection.

What If

  • Sarge would be 2-3 if they played Porky Pigmy Pyxies every week.
  • Besides Porky Pigmy Pyxies, Sarge would have defeated six other teams this week.
  • Had they played each other last week, Sarge would have defeated Porky Pigmy Pyxies 116.70 - 101.60.
  • If they played the same schedule as Porky Pigmy Pyxies, Sarge would be 1-3.
  • If Sarge had played every team in the league each week, they would be 30-45.
  • Besides Sarge, Porky Pigmy Pyxies would have been defeated by 10 other teams this week.
  • Porky Pigmy Pyxies would be 3-1 if they played the same schedule as Sarge.
  • Porky Pigmy Pyxies would be 40-35 if they played every team every week.

Game Notes

  • Depth was a factor: Even though Porky Pigmy Pyxies lost, they had two players score higher than the leading scorer for Sarge.
  • Despite being on the winning team, Alshon Jeffery had a season-low 6.10 points against a projected 15.47 and has now underachieved in three straight games.
  • The margin of victory for the matchup ended up being the smallest in the league this week at 5.05 points.
  • The 21.30 points by the RBs on Porky Pigmy Pyxies was the season-high for combined points from the position.
  • With the win, Sarge improves to 1-1 in comeback games this season.
  • With the loss, Porky Pigmy Pyxies falls to 2-1 in comeback games this season.
  • Porky Pigmy Pyxies ranked 12th in the league in scoring this week.
  • In the loss, DeAndre Hopkins had the second-highest WR score in the league this week with 27.20 points
