Well, Jimmy is well familiar with Pitch and AD playing them 41 times, Thomas just twice.
It took Jimmy 5 years to get his footing, but since 2009 he has 6 playoff appearances and 2 championships 2010 & 2016.  I did however notice a trend.  2009 & 2010 playoffs, 2011 off year.  2012 & 2013 playoffs, 2014 off year.  2015 & 2016 playoffs, 2017 ?

Pitch has a pattern.  Beginning in 2006, he made the playoffs and took two years off.  Then in 2009 he won his championship and then took two years off.  Then made the playoffs in 2012 and then took two years off.  Then again in 2015 he made the playoffs and then took the last year off.  According to the pattern, Pitch is playoff bound next year but not this year.

Thomas - 1-1 vs Jimmy 3-3 vs AD 1-3 vs Pitch

5-7 vs division
Playoff appearance in 2014, other years, a nomadic trek through an endless desert of misfortune and agony.  But we recently learned from the Mick Jagger Award Ceremony that Thomas doesn't sit and cry about things.  He's a hustler and he's coming off a good draft.

So, the South boasts 7 championships overall, 3 since 2010, two former #1 seeds, and 22 playoff appearances, 11 since 2010.
