Hurricanes suck...

It goes without saying, although I'm saying it, that our hopes & prayers go out to all those flooded by Harvey and now threatened by Irma.  But this is a fantasy football site, so let's look at how Irma is affecting the league.

Drewid Breeserkers Vs Raging Bulls

The Serkers had DeVante Parker all lined up for the beginning of his breakout season.  I guess that's on hold for a week.  The good news is there are other options that can be played.

$ooners Vs TexasTide

There's a couple of guys missing, but they weren't in the starting line-ups.  Cameron Brate may have been an option for Chip, but I think he'd start Jordan Reed regardless.

Bigg Squad Vs Hooligans

Alex is taking a shot to the nutsack here.  He lost DeSean Jackson & Julius Thomas, both in his starting line-up.  Rick lost his TE and doesn't have a reserve, so he's gonna have to find one in free agency.

Bullock Bulls Vs Killer Beas

Beas had to drop a defense and he loses his starting QB.  That's a little tough losing one's QB during a division game to start the season.

Cows vs Pulled Pork Mafia

Brent loses his franchise tagged Mike Evans and a sleeper RB in Rodgers.  Missing your #1 guy week 1? Welcome to 2017.

Pitch Vs Piggy Porky Papy

Pitch is the real loser due to Irma.  1st round pick Jay Ajayi and third round pick Jarvis Landry are lost for week one.  This is interesting to me.  Ryan was lined up to play Pitch week 11 when Pitch would be missing these guys.  Now it's Papa.  Does that change how the playoffs get won later in the season?  Or no affect at all?

These all suck because we want our teams to be full strength during division games, 1st three & last 3.  One might argue that after this week they'll have those players all year.  That may be true, but what if teams start "resting" some of these guys during games late in the year.  That could change outcomes of fantasy games when it matters.  In reality, in doesn't matter cause it is what it is.  Teams will just have to adapt & adjust and fill their needs as best they can.
